Bubbling pockets of mammatus clouds, formed by cold air sinking through the anvil of departing thunderstorms, create for a deep and colorful sky at sunset. The deeper parts with no sunlight hitting them, almost look like viens and stayed a deep blue or shallow purple hue, while sun rays lit up the clouds in a vibrant orange.
