After sitting on a rural dirt road in Western Nebraska for what seemed like hours and watching thunderstorm towers develop, this supercell finally took over near Max, Nebraska. We headed west towards the storm and noticed that the structure continued to improve. As we navigated yet more dirt roads, this circulation quickly wrapped up and put down this tornado in open prairie on the hills to our west. We continued to chase storms well into the night!
God that's beautiful!!! I'm so jealous!!! LOL! I've always wanted to go out with storm chasers just to chase... just to see it for myself... that's a life long dream!!! Sure here in Ohio we get tornadoes, but never near me. (which, I'm pretty happy about) but I would love to see one tear across an open field. Maybe some day... *sigh*
Thank you! Just keep 'chasing' your dreams and they will happen haha. We always hope for open fields as well, no one wants to see destruction but its an unfortunate side affect.
