We were initially disappointed to see that storms had fired so early in the day... but when we approached the storms near O'dell, Nebraska and emerged out of the rain to this view, we got alot more excited about the day. This supercell churned for a couple of hours along the Kansas/Nebraska border morphing into some incredible structures including this turbulent form. A tornado was reported shortly after the time of this image as we headed east to avoid some of the baseball sized hail shown on radar.
0_> i wish i had a good camera to take photos like this. Nebraska is REALLY pretty during storms and sunsets, but my camera is not fit for a job as good as this.
As long as I've been chasing... I think it has alot more to do with getting to the right place versus the camera that you have. Alot goes into finding these haha.
