The Shawnee Tornado II by INTOtheRFD The Shawnee Tornado II by INTOtheRFD
The Shawnee, Oklahoma tornado continues across I-40. I zoomed out to capture some wider perspectives of this tornado, that now had a red dusty debris cloud at the bottom as it tore into trees on the interstate about 150 yards from our location. Shortly after this image to go into the car to run from the tornado. The spekcles in the air on the left hand side of the frame are pieces of debris lofted into the air by the tornado that were now falling as they escaped the stronger winds.

WOW!!
An awesome shot. The tornado looks like it is tearing up the road ahead of those cars, the green of the landscape is a sharp contrast from the dark clouds. And the horizon looks to be on fire. Looks like a city is burning in the way distance. It is most likely just the light of the sun but it looks awesome with this dramatic scene of the tornado throwing debris around. The line of the tornado looks like some magic playing part in the image and it is very nice how it curves through the image almost parallel to the trees in the corner.
Not just a spectacular force of nature, but captured in a very nice shot. Very nice work :D

Vision here is more based on timing then anything else. the timing with witch you happened to come upon this and had the clarity of mind to shoot this awesome photo.
Originality well I'm sure there are photos of tornadoes through out the internet.
Technique well here you are forgiven the tiny flaws that are here and there in the technical aspects of the image for the shot is taken under circumstances that most people hope never to be in let alone shoot photos in.
Impact well This photo does pack a punch. Awesome work :D

Awesome shot love every thing about this shot. Reminds me of home. I'm from around Shawnee, Kansas I have a very vivid memory of something very similar to this, when I was around 6or7. Thanks for taking me home again!

They were okay as far as I know... the debris in the air was from a semi that got hit and the driver was pretty shaken up.
