A fellow storm chaser and photographer watches a distant but beautifully structured supercell churn over a wheat field on the endless high plains of Eastern Colorado. Ironically we met the storm just as it was passing east of a town called Last Chance. We had been driving all day, and made a couple of poor decisions and watched a couple of storms evaporate as we made our way to them. This storm was our 'last chance' as sunset was quickly approaching and the storms were forming a squall line. We sat under this for a couple of hours getting some incredible shots and salvaging the day before a long drive home with a crazy light show!
